NEW DESIGN

LASALLE STREET + WEST 137TH STREET, NEW YORK, NY

The project consisted of the redesign and upgrade of the refuse area at Morningside Gardens, a six-building, 980 co-op complex in Morningside Heights. The work included the design of a new, enclosed refuse area with five steel refuse containers, new fencing with a motorized gate, new composting areas and recycling bins, and ADA access for residents. The site redesign also included 290 linear feet of concrete planters and two new custom pergolas to support local plant life. Work was coordinated with the Department of Sanitation to provide a more optimal layout for efficient waste removal.
