Spring has arrived

Spring has arrived; the days are getting longer and a little warmer. Blue skies, sunshine, and the first tiny hints of green on the trees are enough to make you fall in love, with buildings!

When the temperatures warm it means we can all spend a bit longer on site visits looking closely at our buildings. In the world of historic preservation this offers a chance to linger a little longer on the tiny details that can make you fall in love with a building. This includes worn, aged, cracking, corroding, and spalling materials, which though they may be slated for repair or replacement, can be seen as lovely and full of character. We can also take in the view from the top of the building, and see what the building and its inhabitants see.

On your next city stroll look more closely at a few buildings, and see if you fall in love with one!
