The existing building is a 5-story townhouse with a below-grade cellar. The building’s exterior walls are fully bonded masonry walls that support wood framing at the interior. 


The project was the gut rehabilitation and conversion of a multi-family residential townhouse into a single-family residential townhouse. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services were upgraded. A new bulkhead and rooftop terrace were added. A new elevator was installed with access to all five floors. The building is located in a Landmarked district, and exterior work was subject to approval by the Landmarks Preservation Commission. Exterior work included a façade restoration and window replacement.
