EXTERIOR PRESERVATION

75 HICKS STREET, BROOKLYN, NY

The project consisted of the exterior preservation and restoration of the Plymouth Church campus, which was once the home church to noted abolitionist preacher Henry Ward Beecher. Work included the replacement and repair of the copper balustrade, arcade and gymnasium skylights, and porch roof and flashing. Localized roof repairs were performed at the parish house, the arcade roof was replaced, the gymnasium skylight was reglazed, the gutters were relined, and the sandstone ledges were capped. Many of the wood windows were restored, and those with wood sashes damaged beyond repair were replaced with exact matches.
