ca. 1960 twenty-one story concrete structure apartment building with white glazed brick cavity wall facades.

Scope: 

Removal of all exterior masonry, including all setbacks and returns. Removal and replacement of steel shelf angles throughout. Installation of a new red brick curtain wall with cast stone water tables and a limestone base. Faced with a large expenditure to repair a failing facade, the owners opted to replace the entire facade and change the style of the building from a typical “wedding cake” modern white glazed brick design to a more traditional prewar type. The owners expect to realize an increase in the overall value of the units due to the traditional design.
