EXTERIOR RESTORATION

Type:

ca. 1901 steel frame commercial light manufacturing building converted to residences. The street facades on Broadway and Walker Streets are limestone with cast iron spandrels at the second floor and an ornate sheet metal cornice. Secondary elevations are brick. The building is within the Tribeca East Historic District of Manhattan.

Scope:

Stone restoration and resetting. Brick masonry restoration and rebuilding, re-roofing and bulkhead cladding. The restoration of the cornice included refabrication of applied formed zinc lions' heads, rosettes and modillion brackets. Included in the scope of work was the installation of a new public roof deck.
